KATZMAN ART PROJECTS is pleased to present 𝐃𝐎𝐄 (𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑶𝒎𝒏𝒊 𝑬𝒓𝒂), a solo exhibition by Ontario artists Broadbent Sisters.

𝐃𝐎𝐄 (𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑶𝒎𝒏𝒊 𝑬𝒓𝒂), invites us into an underworld spa, where the boundaries between digital and tangible dissolve, giving rise to a new meditative romanticism. Candles take on bodily forms, tiled swans twist into surreal figures, and a dreamlike spa emerges—beckoning contemplation on transformation, mystery, and the convergence of technology and spirit. Exploring the intersections of pop spirituality, self-care, and the digital age, the Broadbent Sisters weave fantasy with reality, ushering in a paradigm shift in healing.

On opening night, the sisters conjure a ritualistic, meditative performance. Silently, hands and feet sink into wax. Braided hair becomes wicks, weaving into flickering offerings. A hypnotic portal opens—where algorithms whisper, wax remembers, and something stirs beyond the veil.

BROADBENT SISTERS

Rose and Joy Broadbent are multidisciplinary artists based in Toronto. For over a decade, the Broadbent Sisters have created international, award-winning work in performance, film, painting and installation. Their unfolding practice, ‘Clearing Spaces,’ examines themes of meditation, telepathy, eco-feminism, and pop spirituality. Over the years, their highly intuitive work asks viewers to enter vulnerable spaces as the Sisters build a mythology of meditative ritual.
